A beautiful rare (Wisconsin) original Prohibition Prescription for Vini Gallici, also referred to as French Brandy or Wine, as it is distilled from French Wine...Oi (Pint)! The doc first wrote Frumenti and then crossed it out. This prescription was the fourth issued during the Prohibition. It is quite  ornate and also the largest of all the issues. Please see photos!
From the days of Al Capone, speakeasies and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!
The prescription has poppies on the top corners, fleur-de-lys on the bottom, and spider-webbed borders!

by Pharmacist, Charles Sniteman, (there is a sandwich named for him in a local diner/also he built a Mission style house in which one of his prescriptions hangs today!) of Sniteman's Drug Store in Neillsville, WI.
This prescription measures 6 1/2" x 4 3/8", has two light folds, some of the writing is light, otherwise, condition is excellent...a beautiful Wisconsin prescription!
